The story of Werner Kissling, a German aristocrat who would eventually die in poverty in a Dumfries nursing home. A keen photographer, he was inspired to visit the Hebrides by a postcard of Lewis sent by his mother. He went on to make a film and take a series photographs of the people of Eriskay which provide a priceless view of life in the islands at that time.
